Pathway to Poetry

A community project, the "Pathway to Poetry'' club based at the West Flamingo Senior Center, wanted to publicize their group. We invited members of the public to contribute poems, and spent several weekends printing, laminating, stringing, and attaching poems to a flexible plastic fencing. The design( mine) was then attached to a gate in the arts district with zip ties. It remained in place for 6 months, maintaining its color, as it faced north.  We also had a public out-door poetry jam, combining poetry efforts of the seniors with a youth skateboard club.
